KONTRAINDIKASI: Kuinolon seperti ciprofloxacin, cinnarizine, gemifloxacin, levofloxacin, lomefloxacin, moksifloksasin, norfloksasin, ofloksasin, dan sparfloxacin dapat menyebabkan dosis-terkait perpanjangan interval QT pada beberapa pasien. Pemberian bersamaan dengan agen lain yang dapat memperpanjang interval QT dapat mengakibatkan peningkatan risiko aritmia ventrikel seperti takikardia ventrikel dan kabel tips de pointes, karena aditif aritmogenik potensi yang berkaitan dengan efek mereka pada konduksi jantung. Kabel tips de pointes telah dilaporkan pada beberapa pasien yang menerima sparfloxacin sendiri dan dengan agen antiaritmia seperti amiodarone dan disopyramide.
