Cefpodoxime dapat meningkatkan efek warfarin dan menyebabkan anda mudah mengalami perdarahan. MONITOR: Sefalosporin dapat mempotensiasi antikoagulan efek vitamin K antagonis. Mekanisme yang mungkin mencakup menghambat pertumbuhan vitamin K-memproduksi bakteri usus, menghambat produksi vitamin K-dependent faktor pembekuan melalui methylthiotetrazole (MTT) rantai samping (misalnya, cefamandole, cefmetazole, antibiotik, cefotetan), dan/atau menghambat aktivitas platelet. Penurunan aktivitas protrombin telah dilaporkan selama pengobatan dengan berbagai sefalosporin. Faktor risiko adanya gangguan ginjal atau hati, gizi buruk negara, berlarut-larut terapi antimikroba, dan kronis terapi antikoagulan.

MANAJEMEN: waktu Protrombin dan INR harus dipantau dan pasien diamati dengan seksama tanda-tanda perdarahan. Antikoagulan dosis dapat disesuaikan seperti yang ditunjukkan.
