FluvoxaMINE dapat meningkatkan kadar lovastatin. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan risiko efek samping seperti kerusakan hati dan langka tapi serius kondisi yang disebut rhabdomyolysis yang melibatkan pemecahan jaringan otot rangka. MONITOR: pemberian bersamaan dengan inhibitor dari CYP450 3A4 dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi plasma dari HMG-CoA reduktase inhibitor (yaitu, statin) yang dimetabolisme oleh isoenzim. Lovastatin dan simvastatin sangat rentan karena mereka bioavailabilitas oral rendah, tetapi yang lain seperti atorvastatin, dan cerivastatin mungkin juga akan terpengaruh. Tingkat tinggi dari HMG-CoA reduktase aktivitas penghambatan dalam plasma dikaitkan dengan peningkatan risiko muskuloskeletal toksisitas. Miopati dinyatakan sebagai nyeri otot dan/atau kelemahan yang terkait dengan terlalu tinggi creatine kinase melebihi sepuluh kali batas atas normal telah dilaporkan kadang-kadang. MANAJEMEN: hati-Hati disarankan jika atorvastatin, cerivastatin, lovastatin, simvastatin, atau beras ragi merah (yang mengandung lovastatin) ditentukan dengan CYP450 3A4 inhibitor.
